Biography
The global mission of DrawingConnections, Inc., founded by Robert Teslow, is to develop strategies for individuals and groups to connect and engage each other through Visual Art activities and exchanges
Current engagement is with Robins Bay Primary School in Robins Bay Jamaica. Drawing Connections sponsors a two week summer camp for Robins Bay community and students grades 1-6. Summer camp themes are Environment, Ecology, Skill Development, and Career Awareness with a strong emphasis on Visual Art activities of drawing and painting.
During the academic year Robins Bay grade 5 students connect with grade 5 students in Minneapolis, MN. Video interviews are exchanged using prompt questions that are the same.
This format, including artwork and written exchanges, encourages student connections through critical thinking skills, analysis, and interpretation made by students from different cultures recognizing similarities and differences.

"All you need is white" one of the rising grade five Jamaican students said. "Here is white", I replied holding up a blank sheet of 81/2" x11" cartridge paper.
