Featured Collection: MNfashion FLASH Spring 2008 Winners

|
In order to consider fashion photography a contemporary art form, there needs to be an element of inspiration combined with technical skill. All elements must be thoughtfully brought together by a dedicated team, large or small. This has been an exciting series to get underway. We had an excellent selection of submissions for this spring's MNfashion FLASH competition cycle, with varied interpretations of the theme: "The Color Green". The winning images represent the work of many talented individuals collaborating in the art form of fashion photography.

One for the Road |

Far, Far Away is a Lake by Betsy Bowen, full color woodblock illustration from a limited edition of 150, 1999.
From "an old homestead on the edge of the wilderness near Lake Superior's north shore," artist Betsy Bowen creates evocative woodcut prints that have served as illustrations for a number of beloved children's picture books, written by Bowen and others, which pay homage to the Northland. You can see many more of Bowen's illustrations and limited edition prints on mnartists.org or by visiting her studio website.
