  • In 2017, I worked with the Union Park District Council and community volunteers to design and paint a pavement mural on the Aldine Pedestrian Bridge over highway 94 in Saint Paul. We designed the mural by drawing continuous lines, outlining and connecting shapes and textures visible from the bridge, and painted between the lines to create a colorful puzzle-like mosaic that enlivens the bridge for pedestrian and bicycle traffic.   • “In her “One Line” body of works, Emily C. K. Hoisington uses continuous lines to show encounters between a person and their environment.
