Susan St. John and Ann Ruhr Pifer invite you to our second Private Art show --
Three Artists: Landscape, Abstraction, Still Life in Paintings and Sculpture
Walter Piehl, Dan Jones, Mike Marth

Walter Piehl paints how the 8-second bronc ride feels. His colors drip and run creating after-images, colorful blurs and dynamic movement of line and color that explode with an extraordinary energy.

Dan Jones creates atmospheric and serene landscapes by combing rhythmic patterns and bold brush strokes. His subject matter evokes emotions of places remembered; the pristine and quiet atmosphere of the northern plains.

Mike Marth takes still life beyond what it is and moves us into the realm of imagination with non-representational imagery. With wonderfully oxidized surfaces, gooey paint and found materials, Marth’s content becomes elusive and his imagery absorbs us.

The artists’ works are collected by both private and corporate clients throughout the U.S. and Europe. The Plains Art Museum in Fargo also showcases the works of Piehl, Jones and Marth in its permanent collection and continuing exhibits.

Artists Reception: May 17, 5-9 PM & June 13 5-9 PM.

Artist Talk: May 24 5-7 PM.
