Acting for Life: A Senior Theatre Conference and Workshop

This fun, interactive workshop covers fundamental drama techniques, explores the basics of Senior Theatre in the classroom and on the stage, and directs you toward appropriate plays for older adults with various abilities. Discover many ways to bring Senior Theatre to older Minnesotans. And try out a few! This practical session will be fun and provide lots of practical ideas you can use to start or improve your theatre projects.


Bonnie Vorenberg, director of ArtAge Senior Theatre Resource Center, known as the "Guru of Senior Theatre," will be the workshop leader. She is the founder and president ofArtAge Senior Theatre Resource Center.


Who Should Attend: older adults, theater amateurs and professionals, senior housing and senior center activity leaders, educators, and others with an interest in arts and aging.

Why: Encouraging older adults to share their wisdom and creativity enriches the community with an important cultural legacy while, at the same time, improving the health and quality of life of older adults.
