Weaving …the principles are basic no matter what type of weaving you
do. You don’t need a fancy loom to make quality objects. You can use a
simple cardboard loom to learn to make two styles of bags: with a flap
and without. Students will be able to finish two or three bags during
the day, and learn basic principles that can be applied to other, more
complex styles of weaving. All materials will be provided by the
instructor, but students are welcome to bring yarns they wish to use.
This is a great way to use up small amounts of hand spinning samples,
leftovers from bigger loom projects, thrums, or some of the fun yarns
available at WGM. Materials fee $5, payable to the instructor.
