Minneapolis, MN - Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) is proud to present the 17th annual Art-A Whirl May 18 - 20, 2012 in Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota. Art-A-Whirl has become the largest open studio tour in the country. Over 400 NEMAA Members display their artwork in
over 50 locations throughout Northeast Minneapolis, including studio buildings, art galleries, homes, storefronts, businesses, and restaurants. Art-A-Whirl provides an opportunity to tour private artist studios, ask questions, discuss techniques, experience art first-hand, and purchase unique artwork directly from the artists, all while enjoying the Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood.

NEMAA will launch its new website just in time for Art-A-Whirl. The website will include a mobile friendly site, enabling visitors to easily gain access to Art-A-Whirl information. Updated trolley route schedule and route with
designated stops brings visitors to various Art-A-Whirl destinations in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. New listing of Art-A-Whirl Artists sorted by location in the printed Artist Directory.

FREE Art-A-Whirl Trolley

There will be free trolleys running during Art-A-Whirl hours, and will make stops at Art-A-Whirl locations throughout the NE Minneapolis Arts District. A full loop takes approximately 25 minutes. See the Art-A-Whirl map to view the trolley route, stops, and schedule.

Free and open to the public, open during Art-A-Whirl hours.

Auction closes at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 20.


View and bid on over 100 pieces of art, gift certificates, unique experiences, gift baskets, and more. Artwork labels include the Artists' Art-A-Whirl location so visitors can locate the Artist on the Art-A-Whirl map if they wish to see more
of the Artists' artwork. Proceeds support NEMAA's mission, members, and Art-A-Whirl.
