Watercolor, Catherine Hearding

This class is for beginning and intermediate painters who wish to sharpen their skills. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the medium including the fundamentals and techniques for creating work with visual interest and clarity. Catherine has won numerous awards.

Butter Knife and Spoon Carving, Fred Livesay

This class will introduce you to the tradition of Scandinavian knife work. Learn safe knife strokes to design and create your own wares. Beginning and experienced carvers are welcome. Fred has studied Scandinavian folk art and crafts in Sweden and demonstrates crafts in the five state area.

Small-sized classes for adults. Includes a range of optional activities such as visiting art museums, theater, great food and folk dance.

The setting is on the west bank of the Mississippi River within a few minutes of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
