About Christine Alfery: Working in mixed media on paper, Christine creates energetic compositions at her Lac du Flambeau, WI studio. “I am a post modernist abstract expressionist painter,” explains the artist. “My painting technique is abstract and is centered on the notions of freedom, independence and non-representational subject matter.” Christine holds an MFA and an MA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she is currently completing work on her PhD. She maintains a vigorous exhibition schedule; her works are regularly included at juried shows across the nation.

About Bill Nolte: A longtime painter, Bill also builds witty, detailed shadow boxes with found materials. The artist was inspired in his youth by viewing the miniatures displayed at the Museum of Science and Industry and the dioramas at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. Later in life, he became intrigued with Joseph Cornell boxes and Mexican Day of the Dead memorials. Bill brings a variety of experiences to his work. He studied religion at Dartmouth College and English at Oberlin College. Bill taught grade school, high school, and traveled to Istanbul to teach English. Currently, he owns a lively bar in Eau Claire, WI.

About Chuck Solberg: Chuck is a nationally recognized clay artist based in St. Paul. Working with stoneware and porcelain clay, he creates functional tableware and large, sculptural pieces. “In both functional and sculptural work,” states the artist, “my goal is to accent the inherent spontaneity and raw beauty of clay.” Chuck holds a BFA in ceramics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an MFA in ceramics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Chuck’s work is included in the permanent collections of the Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis; The Minnesota Historical Society, St. Paul; the University of Wisconsin and numerous private collections.
