No Coast Craft-o-Rama Hosts Summer Sale at Silverwood Park

MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- For the first time ever, No Coast Craft-o-Rama is setting up its tent – literally – for an outdoor summer show on July 22, 2012, on the shores of Silver Lake. The day will feature arts and crafts from over 50 local arts entrepreneurs, along with music, family and arts activities, and food.

Deemed the “Twin Cities’ Best Craft Sale” by City Pages for several years running, No Coast Craft-o- Rama has become a favorite holiday shopping destination for over 10,000 shoppers annually. Far from your average craft fair, No Coast Craft-o-Rama highlights the whimsical independent spirit and irreverent charm of local artists and craft entrepreneurs, along with their cleverly designed and lovingly crafted goods.

Throughout the day, join mnartists.org for CraftyClub, an art-making activity in the spirit of Drawing Club, the wildly popular program in which artists collaborate with the public to create group-authored works in a social setting. At CraftyClub, the public is invited to join local professional crafters and mnartists.org for collaborative crafting and conversation.

The center of each table will contain the working pool of pieces in progress. You can start a new project, slide it back into pool, pass it around, alter, edit, and amend it until the group declares each piece complete. All supplies are provided. The finished works will be collected, documented and displayed on the mnartists.org tumblr blog as a special extension of the Drawing Club project.
