Mr. Thieirry Maillard, the legal director for a collective rights management society in France, will be at the Playwrights' Center next Tuesday, August 21 at 11 am to hear from local playwrights, writers and authors about their concerns and experiences in protecting their creative property. How do artists share their work in the digital era? What resources are used to protect property and collect royalties? How has the internet and e-books, Kindles, etc. changed the industry? This will be an informal dialogue in which he can hear from artists and attendees can ask questions of him.
This is a free event that will take place in the Rehearsal Room at the Playwrights' Center (2301 Franklin Ave E, Minneapolis, MN 55406). Please RSVP to Bethany at 612.332.7481 x. 23 or bethanyw@pwcenter.org.
