Designing Your Own Creation
Have you seen a draft that inspires you, but you want to change to make it your own? Do you want to adapt a draft to a different weight yarn or use? Beginning with an inspiration of your choice, in the first two sessions we will look at the ways to alter a draft, potential use of the woven piece, the colors and the yarns used to create your own draft and project. The instructor will help each student begin their design process in class and follow up with them individually. On the last class, students will bring their finished woven piece(s) along with their original inspiration to share. Handout fee $8, payable to the instructor. Prerequisites: Students must be able to warp a loom and read a draft independently. Level: Intermediate
