Lacy Colorful Shrug
A shrug is a short sleeve or elbow-length sweater, open in the front and irresistible when either dressed up or dressed down. Students will focus on designing and color blending their stylish shrug in Huck Lace. The shrug is created using one piece of handwoven fabric and simple machine sewing completes the garment. The instructor will help each student with color and design and follow up with you individually. The final two sessions include the construction and finishing touches through handsewing elements such as a lovely rolled hem and various embellishments with embroidery and beading. Yarn is T.B.D. or select wools are available for purchase at WGM. Handout fee $5, payable to the instructor. Prerequisites: Students must be able to warp a loom and read a draft independently. Level: Intermediate
