Batts in the Belfry
Spinning and felting are a pleasure with fresh batts! This class will focus on everything you want to know about carding and are afriad to ask…and perhaps a few more things. Students will learn how to prep fiber efficiently, and without pain, to achieve pleasing results on the handcards and drum carder. Both tools are suitable for a variety of outcomes: smooth organized fibers; light as air rolags; blending different kinds of fibers; color blends; wild batts; and preparing fleece. Materials fee $20, payable to the instructor. Materials include various wool roving in a variety of colors and a few other breeds and sparkly stuff, as well as plant fibers for blending. Level: Multi
