Light & Color Mixing Studies for Portraiture — March 23, 2013

Students will spend the morning painting quick light and shadow studies from a live model. This exercise teaches students to analyze shapes and builds proficiency for creating light effect in Alla Prima portraiture. The afternoon will session will teach students to mix skintone colors using the prismatic palette for luminous portraits.
