Join us for an artist talk with Michela Griffo and Alma López. New York-based artist Michela Griffo was an early member of the Gay Liberation Front, along with Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. Los Angeles-based artist Alma López is an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Cesar E. Chavez Department of Chicana/o Studies and LGBTQ Studies Program at UCLA.
This event is part of a network of artistic and intellectual activity planned at the University of Minnesota and in the community for Queer Forms — a multidisciplinary group exhibition and series of public programs that investigates and celebrates the history, politics and culture of LGBTQ+ Liberation across a range of artistic forms and perspectives. Accessibility and Parking
We are accessible via Metro Transit Blue and Green lines and bus routes 2 and 7. Parking is available nearby on the street at the 21st Avenue South ramp, 5th Street South lot, and 19th Avenue South ramp; hourly or event rates may apply. These parking locations and Regis Center for Art are wheelchair accessible. Exhibitions and events are FREE and open to the public.
