LOCAL ARTIST OPENS HER STUDIO TO PUBLIC FOR ONE DAY SPRING SHOW
Saint Paul, MN: March, 6, 2018.
St. Paul artist Carol Anderson Joslin will be showcasing a large selection of her work at her studio space at the AVCR Warehouse on Harriett Island, Saturday, April 7 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. (CST). The multi-media exhibition is called, "Creating Space" and will feature paintings, drawings and pottery for sale representing Joslin's works and artistic process over several decades.
Joslin often refers to a quote from a work by famous artist Marc Chagall, "Time is a River Without Banks." She states, "Much of my work over the years has been about the concepts of rivers, movement, space and dwelling. This show is an effort to celebrate and share my work and create more space--figuratively and literally--in my studio. I want people to come and connect with my art, and find something that speaks to them."
Most recently, Carol Joslin retired from her part-time faculty in art position at Normandale Community College where she taught Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Visual Arts, Sculpture, and 3-D Design. She has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Art Education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She has downsized and moved from her Saint Paul (Mac Groveland) home and is turning her focus back to her studio and producing art.
The ACVR Warehouse is located at 106 W. Water Street, Saint Paul, MN 55107.
