Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra presents Christmas Brass and Carol Sing
Brass players and cellists from the Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra (CVRO) will perform a variety of holiday songs at Armory Square from 6-7pm on Thursday, December 12 during Northfield’s annual Winter Walk. The event will feature CVRO members playing in chamber groups, with an emphasis on brass ensembles. At the end of the performance, audience members are invited to sing along to their favorite holiday carols.
The CVRO performance will be part of a larger Holiday Market at Armory Square, featuring local vendors, both of which are open to the public and are offered free of charge. Armory Square will also offer hot cider (spiked or not) for purchase. Armory Square is located at 519 Division Street S., Northfield.
This is the second performance in CVRO’s 40th anniversary season, led by founding conductor, Dr. Paul Niemisto. CVRO is a program of the Northfield Arts Guild, dedicated to bringing symphony orchestra music to our region. The orchestra is composed of numerous volunteer players, drawn from a wide area, including Northfield, Cannon Falls, New Prague, Red Wing and Faribault. The performers are dedicated amateurs of all ages whose love for orchestral music encourages them to perform to high levels of artistic excellence.
