The University of Minnesota Creative Writing Program's annual event this year features readings from its two new assistant professors. Douglas Kearney’s fourth poetry collection, Buck Studies, won the Theodore Roethke Award. He also published the nonfiction volume Mess and Mess and. Kathryn Nuernberger’s second collection, The End of Pink, won the James Laughlin Prize; she’s also the author of the essay collection Brief Interviews with the Romantic Past.
Free and open to the public; no tickets or reservations necessary. Suggested donation of $5 and up to benefit Second Harvest Heartland.
