CIRCA Gallery presents intention, a show featuring small works from CIRCA’s roster of artists that aims to help viewers set their intentions and resolutions for the upcoming year. This group show will be on view from December 27, 2019 to January 9, 2020.
As the winter wanes and the new year begins, intentionencourages viewers to consider their resolutions for this next chapter. How will you pursue your goals when life pulls you in other directions?
Art shapes the space it occupies, setting the tone for its purpose and function. At CIRCA, we believe that having original art in life – whether at home, in the office, or at a gallery – significantly impacts a person’s disposition, productivity, and outlook. Thus, CIRCA invites you to discover a piece that manifests your intention for the future and cultivates daily, purposeful, intra-personal engagement as you pursue your priorities, re-centering what you value most.
Including bright, densely-textured multimedia paintings by new CIRCA artist Josh Meillier (Brooklyn, NY), visceral kiln-formed glass by Carmen Vetter (Portland, OR), contemplative minimal paintings from Brad Durham (Minneapolis, MN) and kinetic acrylic wall sculpture from Timothy Schmitz (Minneapolis, MN), intentionrepresents small work from a variety of mediums, allowing viewers tofind a piece that manifests their unique priorities. Additional artists include Margaret Fitzgerald (Albuquerque, NM), Lisa Grossman (Lawrence, KS), Ann Ledy (New York, NY), Jeff Leonard (Brooklyn, NY), Ahavani Mullen (Chicago, IL), James Edward Scherbarth (Minneapolis, MN), Laura Stack (Minneapolis, MN), Gretel Stephens (Los Angeles, CA), and John Vinton (Boston, MA).
