Join us to celebrate an exhibition of 17 artists about to complete their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the Department of Art at the University of Minnesota. Our program is a highly selective undergraduate degree program intended for students who plan to pursue a professional career in the arts or prepare for a master’s degree program. Outstanding candidates are reviewed by a panel of art faculty from a variety of media areas. Acceptance is based on the quality of the artwork submitted and the students potential for artistic development. As the culmination of their study, students present their work in a public exhibition at the Regis Center for Art. Nationally recognized, our program offers degrees and specialties in four main fields: painting, drawing, and printmaking, sculpture and ceramics, photography and moving images, and interdisciplinary art and social practice. Artists in the exhibition include Nana Aforo, Chase Barney, Eric Eldredge-Funn, Bastien Gibeau, Melissa Gust, Jaysen Hohlen, Harriet Matzdorf, Charles Mooney, Aaron Musickant, Carly Odegard, Ashlie (AP) Paulson, Austin Ruport, Kayla Smith, Gabriel Timmreck, Eddie Weinstine, Fletcher Wolfe, and Jiamu Wu. Exhibition runs May 7 - 18, 2019. More info at z.umn.edu/nash.
