The agenda is bloated and the tables are covered with heaps of deadlines, to-do lists, unsigned contracts, appointment reminders, letter of recommendation requests, overdue applications, unedited bylaws, and a mission and values statement in dire need of overhaul. We don't know how it has reached this point (or maybe we do) and/but we're not sure what to do about it. The members of the Wellness Subcommittee are urging everyone to take breaks when needed, but the Managerial Taskforce is breathing down our necks. We think some time to reflect might allow us to re-engage with our passion for the work. Mindfully, mindfully, mindfully forward. Or maybe a walk in the woods, or baking some muffins, or that show just got released on Netflix, and maybe a bath. Some lost productivity won’t hurt us too much, right? We’re just going to put our heads down on this table for a moment to think.
Please note: RESEARCH COUNCIL is no longer (and has not been for going on 6 months) meeting in Park Building Community Room 201. All convenings are now taking place at the Bryant Lake Bowl until further notice - thank you for your flexibility.
RESEARCH COUNCIL is SuperGroup’s latest performance project, a mysteriously unfolding epic delve into (literally and figuratively) meetings, knowledge, truth, and the unknown. Once a month for a year (if we make it that long) we’ll be dropping a new episode live on the BLB stage. Come for the whole series, or just drop in for one night - you might feel a little lost, but no worries, everyone else will too.
