Learn the basics of observation through three drawing classes this summer at the Pump House. Take all three or just one- art education is on your terms with our flexible, independent sessions.
Each class studies a still life through different media: Session one is pencil drawing; session two is charcoal drawing; and session three is colored pencil drawing.
This series is instructed by Shelby Phillips. Shelby is a professional artist and works full time at the Pump House Regional Arts Center. Her credentials include being selected for a competitive internship during which she assisted muralist John Pugh in La Crosse’s 2014 mural installation, Confluence, on the west wall of the Pump House Regional Arts Center, among several other mural projects. Shelby has also taught Paint & Pour workshops at the Pump House.
