MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) Master of Fine Arts Program presents “UFVA at MCAD,” an exhibition of selected University Film and Video Association (UFVA) conference-goers’ works, July 29-Aug 4, 2019 on MCAD’s third floor, 2501 Stevens Ave, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404. There will be a public reception, Tuesday, July 30, 7:30-9:00pm. This event is free to attend.
This event is organized by the Master of Fine Arts in Visual Studies Program at MCAD. The program is a community of makers, thinkers, researchers, and creative professionals working in a mentor-based, interdisciplinary environment.
University Film and Video Association (UFVA) is an international organization where media production and writing meet history, theory and criticism. UFVA members are makers and artists, teachers and students, archivists and distributors, college departments, libraries, and manufacturers. UFVA holds an annual conference and publishes the Journal of Film and Video, a periodical featuring articles on media production, history, theory, aesthetics and criticism. UFVA is one of the premier U.S. academic organizations dedicated to the study of media.
