Minneapolis, MN — Tired of being cooped up indoors with members of your extended family? Did your drunk uncle ruin another holiday? —then here’s your chance to let off some steam!
To celebrate the release of the new 32-page art zine They Use Their Smiles To Bury You, Analog Arts Mpls. will be hosting a post-holiday Zine Release Party on Friday, December 27, featuring live music by Wax Lead.
The zine is also available as part of a special boxed set: Emergency Art Kit: Portable Gallery-In-A-Box.
The event takes place in the banquet room of the Black Forest Inn.
From 8:00-9:30 pm, DJ Able Archer will be playing your favorite post-punk, synth-punk, and New Wave tunes accompanied by film clips and projection art, followed by live a performance by the Minneapolis post-punk outfit Wax Lead at 9:45 pm.
Wax Lead have just released a split 7" on D.C.'s Blight Records, as well as a compilation of singer Holly Axelrod's ballads and solo recordings.
This event is open to the public.
