Iowa Arts Festival

[b]Carolina Niebres in booth #5[/b] The Iowa Arts Festival is a weekend-long, free, community celebration featuring over 125 local and national visual artists displaying and selling their artwork, a music festival, a “Culinary Row” serving regional and ethnic food, a variety of activities and entertainment, both creative and educational, for children and families. The Iowa Arts Festival is the most anticipated visual art-centered event of the summer. The Iowa Arts Festival kid's activities are educational and fun, featuring puppets, crafts, music and dance. On Saturday, kids can pick up a passport and tour the Global Village traveling from country to country, all in one day. Families can listen to great music and dance to tunes from all over the world. Children's Day on Sunday features over 18 booths of hands-on activities, crafts and learning experiences presented by area businesses and groups. Be sure to come hungry! Culinary Row features local and national food vendors with a global flavor. Roam about munching on some of the area's best foods from traditional, Indian and African fare to good old fashioned Barbecue. Mark your calendars: Arts by the River – Fine Art & Music Festival – June 8 & 9, 2013! [b]Entry deadline[/b]:Postmarked by April 1, 2013. Arts by the River in Mankato is an art and music festival dedicated to bringing fine arts to the forefront of the Southern Minnesota region. Located in the beautiful and recently completed Riverfront Park, Arts by the River will bring together the community with the opportunity to view and purchase a wide variety of fine arts, experience artist demonstrations, listen to live music performances in the Vetter Stone Amphitheatre and enjoy fabulous food and drink vendors. There will also be an area for children’s activities to keep the whole family entertained. Arts by the River is a collaborative festival of Twin Rivers Council for the Arts, KMSU, the Verizon Wireless Center and the City of Mankato. [b]Application[/b]:All artists must submit a completed and signed application with Release and Waiver, accompanied by a $20.00 payment for the non-refundable jury fee. Make checks payable to Twin Rivers Council for the Arts. [b]Booth fe[/b]e:$100 for 10' x 10' space. Any submitted booth fees will be returned if your application is not accepted. [b]Tent Rental Fee[/b]:Arts by the River has a limited supply of 10’ x 10’ white canopy tents available for a $40 rental fee. They will be provided by request in the order of applications received and artists will be notified with their jury results. If supplies run out, those who do not receive tents will receive a fee refund. Tents must be requested with the application; they will not be available the day of the event. [b]Images[/b]:All artists must include four (4) photos or digital images (no slides) representative of the work to be exhibited. It is preferred that one image should be of their display booth completely set-up. (Each photo/image must be labeled with the artist’s name and medium and must be representative of the work that will be displayed). All photos/images will be retained by Arts by the River. For a flat fee this year of $25, artists will have a 10′ x 10′ exhibit space to showcase their talent and work at this year’s premiere Lind Bohanon Home and Art Fair. Stone Arch Bridge Festival

Carolina Niebres booth #132 The beautiful Minneapolis skyline and the Mississippi River are the backdrop for this 2 day art festival. This new festival continues the tradition of the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts. Same weekend, same dedication to the artists and same extensive media coverage. On Friday, artist will set up their booths. Friday night there is a free Kick Off concert on Water Power Park beginning at 6 pm. The festival open on Saturday. Saturday hours are 11 am - 7 pm. There is a fee concert on Water Power Park on Saturday night beginning at 7 pm. On Sunday the festival hours are 11 am - 5 pm. Artist can start packing up at 5 pm. Artist will not be allowed to drive on Main Street until the pedestrian traffic has be reduced to a safe level. [b]General Information[/b] The Stone Arch Bridge Festival is a free, art festival on Father’s Day weekend, June 15 -16 that will continue in the tradition of the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts to bring people to the Minneapolis riverfront. The event will feature over 250 visual artists and over 40 musical performances. For 17 years the Minneapolis riverfront hosted the beloved Stone Arch Festival of the Arts.
