      <description>Mark your calendars: Arts by the River &amp;ndash; Fine Art &amp; Music Festival &amp;ndash; June 8 &amp; 9, 2013!&#xD;&#xD;[b]Entry deadline[/b]:Postmarked by April 1, 2013.&#xD;Arts by the River in Mankato is an art and music festival dedicated to bringing fine arts to the forefront of the Southern Minnesota region. Located in the beautiful and recently completed Riverfront Park, Arts by the River will bring together the community with the opportunity to view and purchase a wide variety of fine arts, experience artist demonstrations, listen to live music performances in the Vetter Stone Amphitheatre and enjoy fabulous food and drink vendors. There will also be an area for children&amp;rsquo;s activities to keep the whole family entertained.&#xD;Arts by the River is a collaborative festival of Twin Rivers Council for the Arts, KMSU, the Verizon Wireless Center and the City of Mankato.&#xD;&#xD;[b]Application[/b]:All artists must submit a completed and signed application with Release and Waiver, accompanied by a $20.00 payment for the non-refundable jury fee. Make checks payable to Twin Rivers Council for the Arts.&#xD;&#xD;[b]Booth fe[/b]e:$100 for 10' x 10' space. Any submitted booth fees will be returned if your application is not accepted.&#xD;&#xD;[b]Tent Rental Fee[/b]:Arts by the River has a limited supply of 10&amp;rsquo; x 10&amp;rsquo; white canopy tents available for a $40 rental fee. They will be provided by request in the order of applications received and artists will be notified with their jury results. If supplies run out, those who do not receive tents will receive a fee refund. This new festival continues the tradition of the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts. Friday night there is a free Kick Off concert on Water Power Park beginning at 6 pm.  The festival open on Saturday.  Saturday hours are 11 am - 7 pm.  There is a fee concert on Water Power Park on Saturday night beginning at 7 pm.  On Sunday the festival hours are 11 am - 5 pm.  Artist can start packing up at 5 pm.
