Forrest Wasko is a fine art photographer. He is will receive his BFA in Photography from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2017. In the Spring of 2016, he attended AICAD’s New York Studio Residency Program in Brooklyn, New York, where he mentored under Letha Wilson. In the Fall of 2016, he interned for JoAnn Verburg. He currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He has teaching assisted for the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis Community and Technical College, and Perpich Arts High School in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Working in traditional photo essays, photosculpture, and installation, his work investigates photography as a visual language and its relationship to memory. The subjects of his work are primarily the snapshot, the everyday, and the photograph itself.
