a post to break the void, you know my love for you is sweet and always bleeds, its a full moon until the dawn, and a glass cheers in the dark... RR: we have such a good expression of art here for years. never lose faith because it does'nt matter since our hearts have been it since the beginning... |

I was looking for a good Artist biography to watch and found something else.
Ever hear about this documentary "Art Of The Steal"? It kinda looks like a romanticized criminal blue print of how the bankers and lawyers can commandeer the most valuable collections of art available. I thought it was going to be like that movie where they showed how alot of our current art institutions ended up with a ton of art works, stolen by Nazis then "won" by America after the war... But these thieves are the modern Fascists. I just thought it was interesting and worth mentioning. here's the trailer http://www.ifcfilms.com/films/the-art-of-the-steal I'm downloading it now on torrent. Just thought it would make a relevant post. ![]() |

I should probably do a photography retrospective, now that the decade is over.
I'm witnessing my street and architectural photography become generic and almost obsolete, if not for personal perspective, as googles street-view imagery has become abundant and very high quality in recent years. At the same time, my composition style has evolved to recognize infinite quantity, and utility in 3d reconstructions. I feel like I should be the goto guy for 3d gallery exhibition documentation. To that end, I'll start a blog, at least, at first. My Cannon A590 did die, finally. That damned thing had been with me through alot. I'd been roofing, so I had the cash to treat myself. After hyper-researching my options, I bought a bad ass mofo Cannon SX130iS. OOOOOooooOOoo! It's going to be a good.Ever hear of Oak Grove Street? Hey Minneapolis, see ya around town! |

Thanks Gabe. I see you have current Ebay listings for the holiday season. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, let's invent Art Market Tuesday.
Yes, Oak Grove is as close to the command center as I've ever been. I get to study how historic Loring Hill was divided for the freeway system. The geographic topography of the slopes, trenches and tunnels is comprehended. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

yes, thanks. art for an unpredetermined amount of time. i think i just sold #670, but thats not counting some lost files and poor record-keeping. i was going to bust soon, have to auction 330 more still. then i level up... i like those areas around the city, all the back alleys and crevices... we'll have stepped on the same cracks yet again. i can't wait to take a nice bikeride around there. but right now, i'm still just chilln here. i've taken a couple of no credit courses at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute: Landscape Painting and Figure Drawing i am in love with them both. naturally as a self taught artist i've explored different areas of conventional art, but this just makes it more learned, with the same teacher for both classes, who instructs well for my learning style. also been doing some larger charcoal and graphite work, images are being processed currently by idle procrastination... however, i think i may be picking things up more quickly. been eating well for over a year now, so lifes day to day has made me strong. i feel virile and potent in my masculinity. still youthful. vim and vigor. around this period is where my work changes dramatically and matures. i've a flurry of images coming, but check my page here for a couple new ones for now. stitched hearts |

Yeah! Do it.
& I did some lev3l up art work tonight too. Clandestinely documented a pivotal quantum departure. Everything, new. New. (Still I saw insider jokes of respect (RV Anti-Freeze? Really? Love you fools, in the common room.)) Years later, marks made resonate. Look. I rode bike, crashing through flaccid snow banks. Got there to close out the decade. lol. the edited was funny. bike on. i biked home wed night from figure drawing class, snow and 13 degrees. did a couple of keepable drawings. last landscape painting class this tues. if i'm real lucky tho, i may get to take both classes next round too. some large drawing with charcoal and graphite sticks. posted this kat recently. pretty much dropped and put the drawing on the paper in maybe a half hour. i have a few more like this too, and a few sheets of paper left. my lab is slowly gaining back its mass, and is so much more effective through applied knowledge and lifes experience. i continue on well with the work, using my momentum to crash any reservations. i have several sketchbooks going at once, which is healthy for me, and a re-newed willingness to explore art again. we''ve found much useful info and art history too feed off of, free books and applying knowledge to the canvas. ![]() |
