Default let the west winds blow
i took a four hour walk along the rr tracks and back trails for the fourth, no stopping, brought no $ or id. just a camera and a notepad and water. tried to find a shortcut between point A home and a point B landscape i've been thinking of, but ended up finding any route to be basically marsh/wetland. way back i came on a road i took last year that had some old but functioning autoyards/businesses then, but now there are a couple burnt up bldgs and the rest are gutted/scrapped. road closed, but cool to walk into and look at the damage. sinking back into the marsh they filled in many years ago...

Default hello mnartists
I've missed you all. I have returned to the cities. In the theme of this thread, I spent the day working on a zine, of which i would like you all to be a part of:

a one shot zine called: keyholes and cages
is accepting submissions from Midwest based artists

looking for 5.5 height X 4.25" black and white submissions based on the theme of 'keyholes and cages' as it pertains to you, and to the Twin Cities. If you want more information about the project please send me an e-mail.

looking for any type of expression including (but not limited to): poetry, prose, illustration, photography, collage, paintings

________________

Also, I am trying to set up a project night. Simply inviting creative people to hang out one night a week and work on whatever project you might want to work on/ music, writing, dance, painting, drawing, sculpture. Maybe it would become a pot luck or something, if people are interested. Weekly, or every other week. Would anyone be interested in that? What nights would work for people?

In fact, anyone with any interest or just interested in meeting up, I am inviting people just to hang out on Tuesday night at Nye's:

Have a beer talk about projects and maybe coordinate a time to meet regularily. Invite anyone that might be interested.

Default welcome back
Hey welcome back to Minneapolis William!

I'll figure out some art to submit to Keyholes and Cages.. Sounds like a good thing to do. I just got back myself, yesterday.
I'd spent two weeks in Wisconsin running around. Good vacation away from some depressing times. Got to do some boating on Apple River and hiking in the Saint Croix bluffs. I was just passing time waiting for my new machine, which has finally arrived.

I'm going to the Varsity on Monday to see Thurston Moore. Maybe I'll go to Nyes on Tuesday. I just never know. Day to day.

The videos of KRS1 talking about it, on the northside, is powerfully enlightening.

Hot out. Ain't it.

I'd like recognize our new Minneapolis Public School Board Superintendent KRS-1, and all these people at this meeting.

Profound universe moving. Character of reality realized.

I've been watching documentaries about Detroit during the civil rights/black power actions.

Power creativity to us all, people.

Default sunset
Freshly from last night.

How I got the sail boats and the grass to turn black and white is just cause I'm magic on this camera. Intuitive fate.

Default 10 years later...
It just occurred to me, I believe I joined the mnartists.org community forums September 5, 2001.

So that's 10 years ago yesterday.

Happy Decade Anniversary.

Time tester.

Default staying alive
is more of a success. So long muddy waters, so long howling wolf.
In a fucking art world aligned with the order of death, success is to outlive these program enforcers. Creative culture hijacked back to the creators. some are wise to skip a day.

fuck the money. Number my surviving days. I'm rich.

Number the days I help others survive. Pallet on your floor.

I'm going up the country, where the cold, sleet and snow.
C G C
No tellin' how much further I may go.

THE ARTISTS are renewed. After resting in the hush..time has come to make a noise again.

Anyone? We learned from the old masters and the contemporaries. HeadHeart full of the most powerful humanitarian knowledge expresions. I'd refer you to a J.M Culver painting and a Gabe Combs... as soon as those get their youtubes UP!

NEW art is NEW
