Anybody know of a good framer in the Twin Cities? I have a print that I need framed, but the only thing near me really are Michaels Craft-type establishments. I'm looking for a competent, reasonably priced place used to dealing with actual prints, not simply posters or Thomas Kincade-type schlock.
Thanks. |

Yes, two come to my mind;
1. The Dean Gallery _ Hennepin Ave. South (Uptown, MPLS)...they specialize in framing as well as gallery art...ask for Kristin Schue. 2. There is a frame store on Lake Street (Lake and Hennepin, next door to "The Passage to India...who has a fantastic lunch buffet M-F. The frame Shop is actually a part of Calhoun Square..but you need to enter from Lake Street and not the interior of the mall.) amend that thought to three!~ 3. Michaels does a nice job but is a little more expensive if you have them matt and frame for you. Good Luck, ![]() |

Frame Ups - 4325 Nicollet Avenue South - Minneapolis, MN 55409 - 612.870.1292
They've framed works for five or six of my shows already - and have always given me great results. They're affordable...friendly...and dedicated to helping their customers select the best ways to frame and present their works. They're in the process of expanding the size of their studio - which will double the space they originally had when they moved from Franklin and Lyndale to the Nicollet Avenue location last year. Part of the expanded space is set aside as a gallery. When you're looking for quality custom framing - I suggest you make a visit to Frame Ups and check them out. JML |
