Default A Thursday night
I walk into a semi corwded bar on the Midway, I have one beer and result to ask a friend some questions?

Why does all indie rock bands sound the same? Its not even like its rock and roll. It is like morbid mouth masturbating moose calls without soul. I mean the lyrics are interesting if I can get to them. Where is the emotion in the emo rock anyway's? Following the footsteps of alternative roots without listening to the heart. I think indie rock bands today really want the Brat pack vibration of the Early to mid 80's to return.

I just do not believe in the indie rock appeal. I want to believe, some band please make me believe.
It hurts not to feel the vibe y'all. Have some soul! I think the American Public and Musicians have a great deal to be pissed off about, why pull the rug over everyone's eyes. Indie rock seems to be following the same agenda as the current govement administration. Of course I could be mistaken. I had know idea MacCarther era could make a serious comeback.

If you think it is meaningless you just empower the music to have meaning.

I don't really have an opinion on the matter. I could count on two hands the number of times I've seen a band live. Music isn't really my thing. But then, I'm sure you noticed my comment was simply a bit of snark lifted from a post of yours a bit up the forum. I found it amusing how animated your response was to someone who expressed dislike for a certain brand of art only to follow it up with a post here dismissing a certain brand of music. Perhaps it is the childishness and cliched aspect of indie-rock "rebellion" that you find thread-bare and disingenuous? But I'm sure you can connect the dots yourself, you strike me as an intelligent chap.

Dear Sam,

I appreciate the concern that has been exercised on my behalf. However if anyone would like to respond to the sentences with possible if not a solution to the questions that would be interesting too.

It would seem there is a need for honest folk rock reality movement in music, but the media is so controlled by CFR forces, that all you'll ever hear is manufactured by record companies. The consumer is then dis-empowered to ever know the sound of true soul music and revolution, thus farther from the creation of such authenticity.
This indie rock is only ego mimicry of manipulative cultural programing designed to sell. It is not an independent sound at all. The solution is freedom. Individuals with talent need freedom to cultivate musical genius. But, the way the media is set up, new musicians develop by mimicking the egos of best selling brainwash pop.
