Just want to express my appreciation for Sean Smuda's article VISUAL ART: Art and Loathing in Miami (including excellent photos and links) describing his experiences at Art Basel in Miami.
In addition, there are lots more great photos of the events at Sean's Fokti site (http://public.fotki.com/Smuda/art-documentation/). There are many swell images, and the combination of overexposures, night-lighting, motion blurs and saturated colors give a great sense of the zoo-like atmosphere. Thanks for sharing, Sean!

Thanks so much for the kind comments. I'll be sure to pass them along to Sean. He's definitely got an eye for both the majesty and the absurdity of a contemporary art circus like Basel. I was thrilled with his diaries of time spent there, too.
