Hannah K. Holman
Hannah is a Twin Cities based interdisciplinary artist, theater maker, and arts administrator. She holds a BA in theater arts and music from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN). Hannah is the Managing Director of Savage Umbrella, a Twin Cities based new work theater company.
Hannah creates physical playgrounds and poetic landscapes through group movement and text exploration. By combining movement, music, and poetry, she seeks to unearth the mess and beauty of being human.
Hannah has created a number of original performance projects including June with Savage Umbrella (creator / director / co-writer), Persephone for live music and movement (creator / director, collaboration with composer Ted Moore), Of the Earth (creator / director / remount performer, published in Dirty Girls Come Clean: The Anthology), and [constructed] (creator / director, devised thesis).
With Savage Umbrella, she has been a director, performer, choreographer, designer, and writer. Hannah has worked with many Twin Cities companies and organizations including Pillsbury House Theater, The Jungle Theater, Theater Latte Da, Sandbox Theatre, The Fargo Moorhead Community Theater, Spitting Image Collective, and The Loft Literary Center.
