Jaime Carrera is a self-taught, independent, mutlidisciplinary artist from Ciudad Juárez, México. He lives and works in Minneapolis with his partner Nick, as well as his two adorable, famous kitties Henri & Beau. His critically-acclaimed work has been exhibited, published, screened & performed both nationally and internationally.
Jaime is the creator and curator of the Outlet performance festival, the FOCO festival, and the Luncheon modern dance series. He regularly performs in the legendary noise band Cock E.S.P. Jaime is constantly taking photographs and doing freelance graphic design for himself and others.
Jaime loves to collaborate with other artists in any medium. He is always inspired by most things in different ways and in varying degrees. Often, his work has been described as confrontational and challenging, but it's mostly about truth and authenticity.
