As Program Director for Mn Artists, I support Minnesota’s art community through on-line resources and offline programs and partnerships. Through my work with Mn Artists, I've produced Community Supported Art (CSA), a co-presentation Springboard for the Arts; After School Specials a co-presentation with Soo Visual Art Center; the McKnight Artist Fellowships for Photographers; and programming in collaboration with the Walker Art Center, including Drawing Club, mnartists.marketplace and Artist-Designed Mini Golf, and several lectures, panels and independent programs.
I'm a frequent writer, lecturer, visiting critic, and independent program organizer on topics relevant to practices of visual artists.
Within my visual arts practice, I explore art-institutional and art-historical tableaux through painting and photography. I have had recent exhibitions at The Minnesota Museum of American Art (St. Paul, MN), The DeVos Museum of Art, (Marqutte, MI), Ridgewater College (Hutchinson and Willmar, MN), Harcourt House Artist Run Centre (Edmonton, AB), and Rochester Art Center (Rochester, MN). I was a 2013 recipient of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Next Step Fund, and was a 2011-2012 recipient of the Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists.
Most recently, founded and launched Waiting Room, a new, non-fixed platform intended to support artists through visual and personal networks. Born out of a DIY ethos, Waiting Room insists that artists can bypass the traditional gallery model and grow their own audiences through genuine relationship-building.

Program Director, mnartists
I spearheaded Mn Artists redesign, a 3-year-long project funded through an Institute of Museum and Library Services National Leadership grant, intended to update a digital regional art platform to make it responsive to the current needs of a decade-old online community. I had the pleasure of working with great partners like the McKnight Foundation, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and Design, the Walker Art Center's Design department, and Minnesota-local Drupal developers, Origin Eight, along with independent consultants like Accentique and Sandbox Studios, to build, design, and realize this project.
Mn Artists is home to art, writing, opportunities and conversation, online and off, by, for and about Midwestern artists working in every discipline. Based out of the Walker Art Center, Mn Artists is dedicated to improving the quality and national visibility of regionally-rooted art, artists and cultural dialogue through a dynamic online community, responsive arts journalism, and by giving artists access to, and connections with, collaborators, influencers and the public. Mn Artists is made possible by generous support by the McKnight Foundation.
