Activity

  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Supernova
A supernova is a star that suddenly increases greatly in brightness because of a catastrophic explosion that ejects most of its mass. I recycled an older painting to create this new one.
  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Lenticular Rain
The beautiful wonder of Mt. Rainier has long been a favorite subject of mine. Here is my depiction of her lenticular clouds and rainy weather.
  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Celestial Steps
Here I wanted to illustrate the journey and aspirations of human space flight. Using the symbols representing many of the objects in our Solar System, bringing attention to both Earth(Blue) and Mars(Red).
  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Aloft
As in many moments of life, so much is left up in the air. This piece reflects my decision making over the last year. Like much of my work, I wanted to invoke movement through repetition and line placement. I was influenced by the 'V' formation birds in flight take on their long journeys.
  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Nova
A pixelated look into the Milky Way Galaxy.

  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Habitual Orbit
This piece represents my journey with nature and why being in nature is an important element in my life.
  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Kampos
I wanted a pattern that invoked the movement of water and the creatures who live in it. The title 'Kampos' is Greek and means sea monster.
  • Jona Mauthe updated the Artwork Midwest Shapes
    Scenes from a backseat observer.
