Jacob Snyder Timmons is a theatre-maker and educator from Raleigh, North Carolina and a co-founder of Cahoot?! Physical Theatre. He received his BFA in Theatre Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro before heading off to Blue Lake, California to earn his MFA in Ensemble-Based Physical Theatre from Dell’Arte International. In addition to performance, Jacob has also worked as a director, playwright, designer, and puppeteer -- devising a 45-minute solo puppet show Short Circuit. Jacob has previously worked with Raleigh Little Theatre as a teaching artist, actor, and conservatory instructor of movement; North Carolina Theatre for Young People as an actor and puppet designer; and was a founding member of the Springdale Players, a group of young theatre professionals performing in non-traditional spaces, including Arsenic and Old Lace in a living room and kitchen, and Peter and the Starcatcher in a backyard and rooftop. Jacob is passionate about art education and arts accessibility and currently serves as the Program Coordinator with East Side Arts Council.
