My creative life has been very eclectic. I was very fortunate to have studied art at the University of California when Wayne Thiebaud was department chair. There were of course many others who had an impact on my work. I have over 30 years of experience creating, implementing and evaluating marketing and visual communication programs. I also owned an art gallery, AND Gallery, in St Paul where I curated shows for emerging artists from Twin Cities as well as national and international. One highlight was the first national Deaf Artists exhibit.
I was involved with WARM off and on throughout the years. Another member and I sponsoried the first Women's Art exhibit in Moscow at the Tretykov after the Soviet Union fell. I also worked at the Smithsonian where I designed sponsorship and marketing materials. While there I designed an innovative exhibit book for the Written in Bone Exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History which used forensic photography to tell the story.
