In my work, I have sought to playfully recontextualize mundane objects so thatthey act against or outside of their intended functions. I have a keeninterest in materials that exist on the periphery of our visual culture; stuff thatthe Wizard of Oz might keep boxed up in his garage. These are things that aredisregarded, tossed into junk-drawers, or simply thrown away. It is an aim ofmine to mischievously activate and tease out the double-life of these objects.
