L'Andrae' Bradley is gentle and fearless simultaneously. When it comes to his creative endeavors, whether painting, sculpting, or being lead vocals for a heavy metal band, L'Andrae' takes it with a certain cool, and joyful confidence.
Since childhood, his mother left him alone to create and use his imagination. He remembers viewing art created by his mother,Gloria Bradley, along with art from her siblings. Both of L'Andrae's parents were hard workers and the hard work ethic was shouldered on him at a young age.
L'Andrae' discovered the Shambhala Meditation Center in Columbus, Ohio in 2013 and his life was altered afterwards. He earned the Shambhalian name "Good Dignity Earth Treasure", after completing an ongoing series of sitting meditation classes and weekend retreats, related to the teachings of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.
Before moving to West St. Paul, MN, L'Andrae' made his home in Columbus, Ohio from 1997 to 2017. He has been included in various exhibitions throughout Columbus,Ohio, New York, Virginia, Minnesota and the United Kingdom.
Along with creating art, L'Andrae' enjoys cooking, nature, and wants to continue deeper integration of meditation and art as one entity.
My work has always been about the evolution of doodling and applying the awareness of the action itself into a work of art. It’s a style that I’ve been doing and re- discovering for almost 20 years.
My most recent work I created with Prismacolor Markers, Micron Pens and sometimes watercolor. This body of work, I have incorporated various colors, and patterns, of the ups & downs of life-along with my personal practice of daily meditation.
I personally feel the work I have now been creating has been more than just the concept of doodling, but also a personal form of meditation in action as well.
