I hail from the shores of an inland sea, hemmed in by cheese curds and Canadians. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a BFA in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking as well as BA with Honors in Spanish I was pretty worn out of having frostbite in weird places and smelling stanky hockey locker rooms. Outward and onward, I moved from the scenic tundra of Duluth, Minnesota to Albuquerque, New Mexico to experience the spiritual beauty and raw dirt of the desert. There, I earned my MFA in Visual Art from the University of New Mexico. I am curious about color, language, animals, plants, human behavior, textiles, the digital, the ancient, and natural history. I currently I reside in Minnesota.
