Biography
BIOGRAPHY
Lisa Marie Brimmer is a queer, black, transracial adoptee writer and cultural strategist. She is co-editor of Queer Voices: Poetry, Prose, and Pride Anthology forthcoming from Minnesota Historical Society Press (2019). Brimmer’s work engages with environment, kinship, and culture while plotting intersectional black queer liberation. Learn more: lisamariebrimmer.com & @2speakease.
Artist Statement
I am an experienced artist and arts administrator that has worked in the Twin Cities arts scene for the past ten years. I have a demonstrated record of collaborative strategy and compassionate impact. Much of my work history is in pilot projects, pilot departments, and elevating emergent systems of clarity and patterns of value in periods of growth and development. My management practice includes standards of equity and transparency with a coaching mindset.
