  • I sought out this solo to be crafted for me and focused on a romantic and nostalgic quality of movement, reminiscent of Hollywood in the mid 40's.
  • Emily Gastineau updated the Artwork 7. TART
The combative, abusive  and quick movement of this piece was thrilling to execute. It allowed me to craft my technique of physically accepting how to be thrown around the space.
  • Emily Gastineau updated the Artwork 6. Moment Before
The movement of this work invites every appendage to lushly paint and stain the space in a playful and athletic way. To daringly captivate moments of beautiful abandon and indulgent musicality.
  • Emily Gastineau updated the Artwork 5. Covergrrrl
This work was performed in a former bath house in Brooklyn. The choreography, utilizing a repetitive loop of facial expressions, speeds up. The gestures ultimately form new meanings due to the execution of the choreography.
  • Emily Gastineau updated the Artwork 4. Jack
I sought out Joanie to create a duet for me and was honored to have her craft this performance piece. The work is filled with athleticism, precise execution and dry wit.
  • (I am in yellow, green and red) This choreography highlights my personalization of releasing rythmic texture, which is invited by Sewell to build into his work. His kinetic energy patterns pass through the body as a result of mutiple co-ordinations based within the phrasing of his movement-vernacular.
  • Emily Gastineau updated the Artwork 2. Into White
I sought out a work to be created for me by Wynn Fricke. The solo has a released, yet bound and compacted-guttural nature. The movement vocabulary was inspired by Wynn's experience of watching her father take his last breath of life before passing away.
  • (I begin this duet on the right side of the screen and roll onto my partner's back)This work allowed me to hone my skills as a dance partner being lifted. It opened up a new level of confidence within my own dancing and also trust for my partner. I was honored to perform this duet in celebration of same sex marriage becoming legal in the state of Minnesota.
