Red Hot Art Festival operates under the belief that art is for everyone. Our mission is to offer a hub of creativity for artists of all mediums within Stevens Square neighborhood. By inviting artists from across the Twin Cities to participate, we hope to establish relationships that provide a strong sense of community that will last for years to come.
Red Hot Art is currently looking for artists to display and sell their work for the 2008 festival! If you would like to apply, go to www.redhotart.org, or contact Caitlin at caitlin@redhotart.org.
The Red Hot Art Festival happens annually in Stevens Square Park. In its seventh year, it offers local, emerging artists the opportunity to display and sell their work in a community-based environment. Red Hot Art’s mission is to celebrate the artistic diversity and urban vibrancy of Minneapolis and the Stevens Square-Loring Heights neighborhood. This year the festival will be taking place Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st, and will be hosting a kick-off party and gallery show at Stevens Square Center for the Arts on Friday, May 30th.
Red Hot provides an ideal opportunity for artists of all mediums to showcase their work. This year the festival will host 75 booths dedicated to visual artists, 25 musical acts to play on two stages, food from local vendors, and many local community organizations providing hands-on activities for visitors of all ages! We are also searching for public artists to create installations in the park during the festival.
