Sönju’s works have been described as "vibrant" and "emotional", "passionate", "inspiring, visually intriguing, and aesthetically captivating". "The melding of bold colors makes her paintings feel as though they are alive". Irene Sönju is an Abstract Emotional Expressionist Artist who paints not what is seen but what is deeply felt, sometimes prophetic, Irene expresses the unseen in a way few other artists dare to communicate. Irene Sönju's paintings are communication beyond the spoken word. The emotions of the being are deeper than the thoughts of the mind or feelings of the physical body. Irene Sönju’s work takes you introspectively deeper than words alone dare to go. Each painting has a life of its own given to it by the Artist who put their strength and expression into its creation.
