Mission
By bringing flamenco to our community on many levels, Anda Flamenco translates and imprints the Andalucian passion for life - both the bitter and the sweet. By sharing our love of flamenco through theatrical presentations, professional performances, informative and interactive lecture-demonstrations, street-dancing, community festivals, and seriously dedicated teaching, we intend to inspire a like excitement and joy in all we meet along our way.
Program/Services
Our school is dedicated to teaching the "whole" art of flamenco to kids from 4 to 104. Of course we teach flamenco dance technique and choreographies - but we teach them in a historic, choreographic and musical context. We teach our dancers all about the music they must learn to command - about the rhythms, the chord changes, the song, the handclapping, the signals from dancer to musician, the costuming and makeup. We teach flamenco from A through Z, and we teach it with great affection, encouragement, and patience! And also with laughter...let's not forget laughter!
