Mission
The Wirth Center for the Performing Arts is a not-for-profit, community school of the arts that enriches the region's cultural environment by providing exceptional performing arts education and performance opportunities for students of all ages and abilities!
Formerly known as the Central Minnesota Music School, The Wirth Center for the Performing Arts was established in 1981 by Dr. Paul Wirth and Jim and Julie Graves and is located in the historic St. Mary's Center, downtown St. Cloud.
WCPA has a twofold philosophy:
1) WE DEVELOP TALENT
2) MUSIC IS FOR EVERYONE
It has been infectious and successful!
A professional staff teaches under the artistic direction of Dr. Paul Wirth, ensuring that students receive a quality music education.
The school features a fully equipped classroom and piano laboratory, providing an ideal setting for learning ensemble, theory, history and sight playing.
Private studios furnished with grand pianos enable students to experience the touch, tone and pedaling unique to these instruments.
An attractive and acoustically engineered recital hall provides a wonderful venue for performance.
