Mission

The PRCA is a membership-based, volunteer-driven, non-profit organization working to support the creativity of all people in Stevens County and the surrounding area.

We hold classes, provide programming, and serve the community through our Cultural Center on main street in Morris. We've collaborated with a wide range of organizations in the community as well as with the public schools and the University of Minnesota, Morris.

In our Cultural Center visitors can see the work of regional artists as well as a showcase of one particular artist.

Program/Services

The PRCA sends out a weekly email list of cultural events and opportunities in and around Morris, including events in Glenwood, Willmar, and Montevideo. To receive this email bulletin just submit your email address below.

We hold the following annual programs:

Amateur photography contest in July

The Prairie Camp, a two-week arts day-camp for elementary students, in June

A juried High School art show in June

Post-film discussions during the annual Classic Film Festival in late October or early November

We showcase the work of one artist or artist group in the back of our Cultural Center.

We provide cultural programming such as community dances with live bands, theatrical productions, traveling exhibitions, and so forth.
