I have alwaysplayed “dress-up”…with a trunk of old clothes, with fabric and thread or with canvas, paint and brushes. It’s what I do still.
I am intrigued by dresses, garments, shoes, objects of life, as well as the spaces they inhabit. The paintings that evolve are intimate and personal, both close to the heart and illusive—figurative without the figure. Iinvite the viewer to join me in entering that space where fantasy and memory converge.
I am originally from small town Minnesota, but have travelled in Europe and lived in Africa and now work and live in NE Minneapolis.
Creation, craft, dream, and memory. Personal to me, yet universal. Part of my history and always of interest to me.
