Paulette Warren is a poet and folk artist, writing and creating visual works as P. A. Pashibin. She received her MFA in writing from Hamline University’s College of Liberal Arts, 2008, and was selected to study with poet Ted Kooser in UMD’s advanced writing workshop the same year. She is presently working on a collection of three dimensional “pages” that bring together poetry, photographs, collage works, sketches, and paintings in the form of picasiette mosaics.
Previously, Pashibin (Warren) was Director of New Initiatives at The Loft Literary Center. As an indpendent contractor, she developed and curated the writing program at Madeline Island School of the Arts.
Pashibin (Warren) is a member and/or supporter of Superior Council for the Arts, Lake Superior Writers, the Spirit Lake Poetry Series, The Loft Literary Center, Minnesota Poetry Therapy Network, Hamline Alum Poetry Book Club, and the Peace Writers Group.
This 20-page chapbook is comprised of original photographs and poetry inspired by the location of my cabin in northern Minnesota, and the abundant wildlife in my backyard in the Twin Cities' northern …tier suburb. All photos are digital, and have not been retouched or enhanced. The collected poems were written over a number of years and later matched with the images.MORE
